Carol Denton

Carol Denton

Carol Denton has Organizational Development, General Management, Sales Leadership, and Corporate Finance background. Her industry experience in consulting includes, among others, financial services, manufacturing and technology, real estate, health care, academia and professional services.

Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Regional Executive for a global leader in Career Management and Leadership Development, specializing in a range of offerings including Executive Coaching, Succession Planning, and the development of executives and high-potential employees. She has developed several programs targeted at the development of high-potential women.

She was previously associated with Bank of America in several leadership positions. There, she managed a corporate lending and finance portfolio for the central and midwestern United States, developed and directed the Leadership Development Program for corporate lending officers, and worked as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Chairman of the Board, during a time of unprecedented growth and merger and acquisition activity.

She lives in Austin and Dallas, and is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Studies from Mary Baldwin College, and a Master of Business Administration with High Honors from Southern Methodist University.

Ms. Denton has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Family Place, and a volunteer at The Hockaday School and St. Mark’s School of Texas. She has addressed the Women in Technology International Conference on Entrepreneurship, and is a guest lecturer on leadership issues to graduate business students in the University of Virginia system. Ms. Denton has been a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Management at Texas A&M University, and the Board of Directors of the Center for Human Resource Management at Texas A&M. She has been a voting member of the Board of Directors of two major Texas holding company banks.

She currently serves on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of Sears Methodist Health System, the Board of Directors of Southwest Assurance, Ltd., and volunteers with CASA of Central Texas, and The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders.
