David Poldoian
David Poldoian is a special operating partner at FTL Investments, a St. Louis based investment firm, where he has served both as an advisor as well as interim CEO of IronRock Capital Partners, one of FTL’s portfolio companies.
David is also a four-time award winning Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Olin Business School where he has served as both professor and advisor for over 15 years. In addition, David is a member of the Board of Directors of Joseph Phelps Vineyards, a Napa Valley producer of fine wines.
Previously, David served as President & Chief Operating Officer of Everest University Online, a 30,000 student, $500mm unit of Corinthian Colleges Inc.. Over his 9-year career at Corinthian, David served in additional roles including Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Business Development Officer, and President of Canadian operations.
Prior to Corinthian, David spent 9 years with Anheuser-Busch Companies where he was President of its Eagle Snacks Division, Senior Strategy Advisor to the Chairman and CEO August Busch III, and a member of the Board of Directors of Anheuser-Busch International. In these latter roles, David spent considerable time in South America, Europe, and Asia addressing key strategic and operating challenges faced by the brewery.
David spent 9 years at Bain and Co., the global strategy consultancy, where he was a Vice President & Partner. At Bain, David worked with senior executives of Fortune 1000 companies across a wide range of industries including food and beverage, consumer goods, automotive, health care, and financial services, among others, addressing clients’ most critical operating and strategy issues.
Early in his career David was a member of the leadership team of Gerry Baby Products, a venture capital funded manufacturer that was subsequently acquired by Huffy Corporation (NYSE).
David served as the sole outside board member of Amerifit Nutrition, a venture capital/private equity backed firm that he helped guide from just after start up to its subsequent sale for nearly $100mm to Charterhouse Group.
David resides in Clayton, Missouri and is a graduate of Tufts University and Harvard Business School.
