As a veteran coach and mentor for CEOs, business owners and senior executives, Gary guides and challenges his clients in clarifying business and personal goals, and in thinking through the ongoing means to attain them. Each coaching relationship is tailored to the specific needs of the client, but focuses primarily on increasing the ability to be an authentic leader of self and others; increasing awareness and insight into behaviors and personal impact; developing clarity of purpose and methods to achieve it; evaluating choices or alternative behaviors; and the planning and implementation of more effective action and increased performance. 

Since 1994, Gary has facilitated peer groups for CEOs and business owners.  Gary created Clarity Circles for business owners who want to take their leadership to the next level.  Clarity Circle peer groups provide a safe harbor for business leaders to discuss the sensitive issues and challenges of leading and running a business.  It is hard balancing the demands of work, family and personal growth.  Clarity Circles tackle these challenges head-on.  The meetings are a time for visionary, strategic thinking, for working “on the business”, and helping CEOs execute their strategies successfully.

Gary is also Managing Partner of Clarity International, a boutique coaching and training firm that teaches skills on how to see, sense and use energy as a primary life and work strategy.  With his wife, Cathy Hawk, he provides a proven system to help high performing leaders maximize their performance through clarity of energy, vision and focused action.  They are co-authors of Creating the Rest of Your Life© and Get Clarity, The New Rules for Energizing Employees to Love Their Work

With over 45 years experience in both large and small businesses, Gary brings a rich business background to his coaching relationships. He has executive experience working in both manufacturing and service environments.   Gary ran the franchise division of Jenny Craig International, has run his own law practice and a small chain of weight loss centers.
