Paul Brubaker
Paul Brubaker brings over 25 years business experience as a Senior Executive, Manager, and independent consultant. Paul has worked in many industries including Oil and Gas, Energy, High-Tech services and Software, Mortgage Banking and Consumer Electronics. He has excelled as a Financial and Operations Executive and most recently as a Senior Human Resources leader. Paul’s shift from the financial and operational areas into Human Capital came about because he saw that employees were most often the highest costs incurred by companies, yet the talents being brought to the organization were most often significantly under-utilized. Paul also noticed that many career HR leaders were not addressing the need of their corporation to maximize the value of the talent that they employ. Paul’s focus, then, has been on helping companies start to maximize the value of the ongoing investment that they are making in their employees.
Paul has worked as a consultant in various roles at Beckman Coulter, Columbia University, IndyMac Bank and Karl Storz Endoscopy. As a consultant, Paul is known to add value with each assignment, delivering solutions that address and resolve problems. As a coach, Paul has been able to assist several Division Leaders to change behaviors, creating an atmosphere to bring out the best in their teams. Paul knows that any solution he designs must fit not only with the Leader with whom he works, but also with the culture and values of the company that has hired him. Because of his broad background in Finance and Operations, Paul brings a deep level of business understanding to any situation with which he is involved.
Paul holds an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia as well as the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certifications. He has worked as a full time employee at the Union Pacific Corporation, Union Pacific Resources, Cambridge Technology Partners, Novell, and Pioneer Electronics.
